The Fruit Republic has state-of-the-art pack houses in Can Tho, and distribution centers in HCMC, Hanoi, and the Netherlands. To facilitate the growth of our company we are looking for an experienced and professional Agronomist
Location: Raw material area in Đồng Nai and Bình Dương
Salary: Negotiate
Principal functions and responsibilities
· Search and develop suitable gardeners and suppliers to provide raw materials according to the Company's standards..
· Report on the farming situation: crops, pests and market situation.
· Train, guide, and manage farmers to cultivate raw materials in compliance with the Company's standards (Global GAP,...).
· Advise and manage farmers on the use of pesticides, fertilizer use in accordance with the approved list and sufficient quarantine time.
· Advise and guide farmers on pruning branches, creating a canopy, preparing the soil to provide nutrients, keeping cultivation logs, etc. for citrus trees.
· Forecasting output, planning harvesting, and purchasing raw materials.
· Monitor experimental models.
Organize farmer training classes as required.
Desired qualifications:
· College/University with majors related to agriculture. Priority is given to majoring in Horticulture, Agronomy, Clean Agriculture, or Plant Protection.
· At least 1 year of experience in farmer management and pest prevention and treatment methods on citrus (Grapefruit and Orange).
· Know citrus cultivation techniques (Grapefruit and Orange)
· Know, have worked on agricultural standards such as Global GAP, have worked on preparing for audit, receiving audit teams from a third party organization or customers
· Have good communication and presentation skills
· Good negotiation and problem-solving skills with farmers
· Have a progressive spirit, love the job, and eager to learn
