In Vietnam guava is mainly cultivated in the Mekong Delta on about 2,000 hectares. Often, our farmers inter-crop guava with other fruit trees like orange or pomelo. Guavas have a pronounced and typical fragrance. The outer skin may be rough, often with a bitter taste. The pulp inside may be sweet to tangy sweet, and off-white (white guava) to deep pink (pink guava).
The shelf life of guavas is around 2 weeks after harvest making the fruit only available to customers within Asia using sea freight, for our air freight programs we supply customers in the Middle East, Russia and Europe. We supply our guavas loose and on trays to domestic and international customers.
