The Fruit Republic was present last week for the 10th edition of the Asiafruit Logistica in Hong Kong to promote its range of tropical fruits and fresh cut fruits from Vietnam.
During the event it launched the first EU certified organic limes from Asia which drew a lot of interest. The new organic line, complements The Fruit Republic’s untreated lime program, and serves those customers who specifically require organic limes. This organic farm, is the first in a series of organic fruit farms which The Fruit Republic is developing in Vietnam. This fits well in its strategy to let the world discover the fantastic Vietnamese fruits and to let the Vietnamese consumer become proud again of its own home-grown fruits.
There was also a lot of interest for export to Vietnam: “Apart from the opportunities for Vietnam as a sourcing country, we see a growing global interest for fresh produce export to Vietnam as one of Asia’s fastest growing markets,” said Ms Nguyen Thi My Hiep who is responsible for the sales of The Fruit Republic in Vietnam’s booking domestic market.
