TFR is proud to sponsor the Dutch Days in Can Tho November the 9th and the 10th. The Dutch Days are an initiative of the Dutch embassy and consulate general, to celebrate the 45 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands. Earlier editions of this event took place successfully in Da Nang, Da Lat and Hai Phong.
On Friday morning a large delegation of Dutch and Vietnamese private and public sector representatives will visit the facilities of TFR in Can Tho and see how a successful fruit value chain has been developed. In the past six years, TFR developed Mekong Delta fruit farmers to comply with the highest international quality and food safety standards and made their fruits successful in both the domestic and export market.
The company visit is followed by a conference in the afternoon titled: Meandering towards a sustainable future: Seminar on the sustainability of the Mekong Delta. TFR will share its experiences in the session on “The transformation to high value and sustainable farming systems in the Mekong Delta”.
While the Friday will mostly have a business-oriented agenda, the Saturday will also offer a more public and cultural program. Key activities include meeting with local authorities, a thematic seminar on sustainable development of the Mekong Delta, a networking reception, Dutch art galleries and an orange bike ride.
