Vietnam is famous for the use of herbs in all of its dishes. Already from breakfast, a delicious soup with noodles named “Pho”, is filled with vegetables and herbs such as green onions, coriander, basil, chili peppers, lime and bean sprouts. In the Dalat highlands there was already a long tradition for growing a wide range of Asian herbs. Through the work of our R&D farm, we introduced over twenty new Western herbs, such as:
Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, Marjoram, Oregano, Basil, Purple Basil, Chervil, Savory, Peppermint, Spearmint, Dill, Burnet salad, Parsley, Sorrel etc. Because of the perfect growing conditions in the Dalat Highlands, the herbs have a fantastic aroma and the plants are very strong, resulting in a good shelf life.
